Processing Speed Index

The Processing Speed Index (PSI) measures the speed of mental processing, using visual stimuli and graphomotor skills, and is related to the efficient use of other cognitive abilities. A weakness in simple visual scanning and tracking may leave a patient less time and mental energy for the complex task of understanding new material. The PSI includes the core Coding (CD) and Symbol Search (SS) subtests and the supplemental Cancellation (CA) subtest. Cancellation is similar to previously developed cancellation tasks designed to measure processing speed, visual selective attention, vigilance, perceptual speed, and visual–motor ability (Bate, Mathias, & Crawford, 2001; Geldmacher, Fritsch, & Riedel, 2000; Sattler, 2008; Wojciulik, Husain, Clarke, & Driver, 2001). Cancellation tasks have been used extensively in neuropsychological settings as measures of visual neglect, response inhibition, and motor perseveration (Adair, Na, Schwartz, & Heilman, 1998; Geldmacher et al., 2000; Lezak, Howieson, & Loring, 2004; Na, Adair, Kang, Chung, Lee, & Heilman, 1999). Relative to the WISC–IV version of CA, a decision-making component was added in the WAIS–IV to place more complex cognitive demands on examinees. The patient must simultaneously discriminate both the color and the shape of the stimuli and inhibit responding when only one of the two features is present.

generate, intelligence, creativity

Through reflection signals are bounced back and forth in the brain. This generates new information that can be combined to create new ideas. The volume of generation can be much greater than the base manipulation of information. Intelligence measures such as IQ is a surface factore because generation is more than what can be held in a given instance. Reflective generation utilizes a flow of new data. And the combination of such is unique to what is produced in each instance. A creative person will make things different from all other creative people.

Creativity has levels of association where abstract concepts come together. They now have a.i. that can abstract anger from a large set of faces. Abstractions follow from features and features are causally linked. The meaning behind what is generated is substantive to new forms. Recognized as new. and set in a medium. Intelligence only factors in as the quantity of combinations sustained forward.

A distinction would be that one would be able to manipulate many math symbols but fail to generate math as a language. Language is the generative process whether visual or linguistic. Some people simply listen or watch and do not generate. This does not mean perception is not involved in generation but only that it can be disconnected.

Ultimate Reality

The first thing we should realize is that we are virtual beings. Everything is a relation and an imprint from the outside. We run a simulation of what is outside and generate new things inside. The fact is we came from somewhere. We are inside something. A womb. God is female because everything is inside her. Mother Nature. So when looking at Egyptian Gods they would just be in her womb also. Ultimate reality is not outside it is inside. Nothing is outside God. All is directed inward.

What distinguishes us is the boundaries we make. These are the mental structures that allow understanding. Consciousness being the key structure. God is the image we take so God must be conscious. And consciousness is transferred from God to us. From the ultimate reality, God created us to be conscious.

Everything I know came from the ultimate reality. That which there is no beyond. There is no other place it could have come from. I am a product of it. It is the only source of Truth accessible to me because everything comes from it.

If I seek enlightenment it is only because of the will outside me that allowed it to happen. The womb allows an infant to grow.

I am a newtype according to this chart.

Lexical thinking is formalized rules thinking. Contrast (impressionistic thinking) is informal rules or patterns that are informal i.e. patterns that are new and hard to explain.

linear vs lateral thinking is easy to explain. multiple vs singular train of thought. they can be conscious or unconscious.

I am a newtype. I have high lateral thinking and high impressionistic thinking. I think in multiple ways at once and new stuff is coming into my mind all the time.

Thought is an algorithm. It puts stuff together to see what works. Abstraction is simply a hierarchy of associations that gives context.

smart people put it all together to get results. They see patterns on top of patterns (context).

Really smart people form abstractions so that associations gain a new order of association. This means they form a whole new layer of contexts others don’t form.

This layer of context can be used to run mental experiments. Hypotheses are confirmed or denied.

A drawback is seeing patterns where they don’t exist but that is a symptom of lack of context / disorganized context. smart people organize context better.

meta: a hierarchy

reflective: all the angles

meta-reflective: a hierarchy of all the angles

The brain models reality through the eyes ears and body. The angle at which signals come in must be matched by the braincells directing them at the angle they need to reflect back. This maps reality so one can navigate reality and produce all actions necessary to survive. The map is a hierarchy of all the angles.

Autism is a sensory problem. There is extra grey matter. And neurons have extra spines. This means they are extra sensitive to noise signals.

Being sensitive they avoid overstimulation.

Self in autism, auto stimulation.
